How small can my QR Code be?

It is recommended that for most phone cameras to be able to read a QR Code, the minimum size of any QR Code should at least be 1.2 inch or 3 cm or 115 pixels (in width and height).

In addition, the QR Code should have a contrasting (preferably white) border or margin width of at least 4 modules (one module is the size of little black square of a QR Code).
